The /F/ sound and the /V/ sound

In my speech group, I like to describe these as lip biting sounds. Some call it the fan sound. You make both sounds by placing your top teeth on you bottom lip and gently blow. I call these brother and sister sounds because you make them the same way in your mouth. The /f/ sound is quiet and you do not turn your voice on and the /v/ sound is "voiced" and you use your voice for it. This sound develops on average by age 3
